GP Opportunity

We are a friendly, well-organised, forward thinking Medical Practice.

Due to the retirement of a Partner in 2023, we have an exceptional opportunity for another GP to join our committed team.  We are hoping to recruit a replacement, initially as a long-term locum but with a view to becoming a Salaried GP if mutually agreeable.  We are flexible regarding the number of sessions.

We are based in bright, modern premises within the Abbeycentre, Newtownabbey. Our surgery has great parking facilities alongside excellent transport links as we are just off the M2/M5, approximately 10 minutes from Belfast City Centre! 

We have a compact practice area.

Practice information:

• 9,500 patients
• 6 GP Partners
• 3 Salaried GPs
• An invaluable close-knit team of employed Treatment Room and administrative staff.
• We are a Training Practice taking GP trainees and foundation year doctors.  We will also be taking medical students from the University of Ulster in September 2023, so this would be a great opportunity to develop a teaching and training role if interested.
• 2 Practice Based Pharmacists
• In-house phlebotomy
• Nurse-led chronic disease management
• Vision Practice with Trainer onsite
• Docman
• We also provide cover for the NI Children’s Hospice, if interested, there is scope for the successful candidate to join the rota, however this is not a requirement for the role
• 2 – 8 sessions per week
